Steps:

  • Pat diced chicken breast dry with a paper towel and add to a large bowl.
  • Evenly coat the chicken in the olive oil. (For seasoning blends with other liquid ingredients like soy sauce or lime juice, add in this step.)
  • Mix your choice of seasoning blend from below in a separate bowl before adding to the chicken. Stir to evenly coat the chicken in the dry seasoning blend.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to an air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 400ºF until the chicken nuggets reach an internal temperature of 165ºF.

This weeknight supper is a kid-friendly and healthier alternative to your run-of-the-mill chicken fingers.

3/4 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 pound chicken tenders
1 1/2 cups panko
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon olive oil
Kosher salt
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons yellow mustard
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • For the chicken: Combine the buttermilk, Worcestershire sauce and paprika in a resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken, making sure it is completely coated. Seal the bag and place in a bowl. Let marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, stir together the panko with the Parmesan, olive oil and 1 teaspoon salt in a shallow baking dish or pie plate.
  • For the dipping sauce: Stir together the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, honey and Dijon in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Preheat a 3.5-quart air fryer to 390 degrees F. Remove 1 piece of chicken at a time from the bag, shaking off excess buttermilk. Place in the panko and press gently with your hands to adhere the panko evenly. Gently shake to remove the excess and place in the air fryer basket. Repeat with enough chicken to fill the basket (about 4 pieces) and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 7 minutes on each side. Repeat with the remaining chicken and serve warm with the dipping sauce.

1 1/2 cup(s) Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup(s) Panko bread crumbs
1 cup(s) buttermilk
3/4 teaspoon(s) poultry seasoning
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/8 teaspoon(s) black pepper

Steps:

  • Cut chicken tenders into smaller pieces. Remove tendons.
  • Place chicken nuggets in buttermilk. Soak for at least an hour (the longer the better; even overnight).
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390.
  • Mix together the Italian bread crumbs, Panko bread crumbs, and seasonings. Roll the chicken pieces in the mixture.
  • Spray one side of the chicken pieces in olive oil spray. Place the chicken in the air fryer oil side down in one layer. Then spray the opposite side with olive oil.
  • Cook for 4 minutes, then flip nuggets. Cook for an additional 4 minutes.
  • Remove from the air fryer. Sprinkle with additional salt, if desired.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

These air fried nuggets are healthier than deep fried, and have tons of flavor! Serve with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch, honey mustard, or chipotle mayo. I like to use a Misto® sprayer with my own oil, but feel free to use regular cooking spray. Use different varieties of ranch mix (spicy, dill, etc) to change up the flavor.

1 pound chicken tenders, cut into 1.5 to 2-inch pieces
1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch salad dressing mix
2 tablespoons flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 serving olive oil cooking spray

Steps:

  • Place chicken in a bowl, sprinkle with ranch seasoning, and toss to combine. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Place flour in a resealable bag. Place egg in a small bowl and panko bread crumbs on a plate. Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place chicken into the bag and toss to coat. Lightly dip chicken into egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Roll chicken pieces in panko, pressing crumbs into the chicken.

3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup Panko

Steps:

1 cup crushed cornflakes
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup prepared ranch salad dressing
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
Additional ranch dressing

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Place dressing in another bowl. Toss chicken cubes in dressing, then roll in cornflake mixture. Place in a greased 11x7-in. baking pan.
