4 pork chops
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 medium onions, chopped
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 (12 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 beef bouillon cube
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Place chop in a slow cooker; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Add onions, green pepper and tomatoes. Combine ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and bouillon; pour over vegetables.
  • Cover and cook on LOW 5-6 hours.
  • Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on high for 20 minute or until thickened.
  • Serve over rice.

I have been making these chops for years. The sauce is delicious! I make these a lot in the summer, due to using the crock pot..perfect! Enjoy!

4 bone-in pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 medium onions, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 can(s) (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1/2 c ketchup
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp beef bouillon
2 Tbsp corn starch
2 Tbsp water
hot cooked rice if serving with chops

Steps:

  • 1. Place chops in a 3-qt. slow cooker; sprinkle with salt if desired and pepper. Add the onions, celery, green pepper and tomatoes. Combine the ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and bouillon; pour over vegetables. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.
  • 2. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into liquid in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes or until thickened. Serve with rice if desired.
