2 env. KOOL-AID Unsweetened Drink Mix
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup water

Steps:

  • Spray plastic ice cube tray lightly with cooking spray; set aside. Combine drink mix and sugar in glass measuring cup. Gradually add water, stirring until drink mix is completely dissolved.
  • Pour evenly into prepared ice cube tray.
  • Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Remove frozen cubes from ice cube tray onto plate or plastic tray.

These mouth-puckering sour gummy candies are easy to make and can be customized to your taste by choosing your own flavors and shapes.

1 cup water
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 packages Jell-O (any flavor)
1/2 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid (any flavor)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Prepare the candy molds or an 8 by 8-inch pan by spraying them lightly with cooking spray. Be sure to get in all the cracks and crevices if it's a detailed candy mold.
  • Place the water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  • Immediately add the gelatin, Jell-O, and Kool-Aid, and stir vigorously until all of the powder has completely dissolved.
  • Pour the candy into the prepared pan or spoon it into the prepared molds.
  • Place the pan or molds in the refrigerator to set for approximately 20 minutes. If you used candy molds, simply pop the gummy candy out of the molds. The candy in the pan can be cut into squares or a variety of shapes using cookie cutters.

3 Kool-Aid packages of choice
1 1/2 cup sugar- or as recommended by the Kool-Aid instructions
Water - as recommended by the Kool-Aid instructions for Kool-Aid drink

Steps:

  • Use 1 Kool-Aid package as a Kool-Aid drink (follow the instructions on the Kool-Aid package for Kool-Aid drink). Stir into a pitcher of water and sugar.
  • Once the Kool-Aid drink is made, get one ice tray and pour the Kool-Aid drink into the ice tray. The remainder 2 Kool-Aid packages are then sprinkled on top of the prepared Kool-Aid ice tray. DO NOt MIX THE REMAINDER PACKAGES OF KOOL-AID, JUST SPRINKLE.
  • Place the ice tray into the freezer for about 2 hours or until frozen. The Kool-Aid ice cubes will be very sour and tasty, you will want more.

1 jar (32 ounces) whole dill pickles, undrained
2/3 cup sugar
1 envelope unsweetened Kool-Aid mix, flavor of your choice

Steps:

  • Drain pickles, reserving juice. In a small bowl, combine the reserved juice, sugar and Kool-Aid, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Set aside., Slice pickles; return to jar. Pour juice mixture over pickles. Discard any remaining juice. Cover and refrigerate for 1 week before serving. Store in the refrigerator up to 2 months.
