1 tablespoon dijon mustard
½ tablespoon cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Place ham steaks and butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and brush over the steaks.
  • Cook an additional 2-3 minutes per side or until heated through and glaze is sticky.

1 fully-cooked ham steak (approximately 1 pound)
4 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons flour
3/4 cup water
4 Tablespoons real maple syrup
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a large frying pan, heat butter over medium heat until hot.
  • Add ham steak, and heat for 4 to 5 minutes on the first side; flip and heat for 2 to 3 minutes on second side.
  • Remove ham steak from pan; put on a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Lower heat to low; add flour to butter and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add water, maple syrup, Dijon mustard and soy sauce. Stir constantly, scraping up the bits from the bottom of the pan. Stir for 2-3 minutes or until gravy is thick and smooth,
  • Add ham steak to gravy, and heat until desired temperature (approximately 2 to 3 minutes).
  • Serve with warm biscuits.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onions
1 garlic clove, minced
2/3 cup pineapple spreadable fruit
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1-1/2 teaspoons molasses
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, optional
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
3 fully cooked bone-in ham steaks (1 pound each and 3/8 inch thick)

  • In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions; saute until softened and lightly browned, 5-6 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute more. Pulse onions, garlic and pineapple preserves in a food processor or blender until smooth. Return to pan. Add next 10 ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook, stirring constantly, until sauce reaches desired consistency, 10-15 minutes.
