COLESLAW WITH FRUIT

Coleslaw With Fruit image

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious this coleslaw was. It's cool and creamy with just the right amount of cabbage mixed with the sweet fruit. This isn't overly sweet but is on the sweet side thanks to the fruit. It is a cross between a savory coleslaw and a fruit salad. All the fruits blend together nicely. Walnuts add...

SUNFLOWER COLESLAW

Sunflower Coleslaw image

I was making my old regular coleslaw one afternoon and found it too bland for company. I only had a few items on hand at the time to tweak the recipes, and pickles did not seem appropriate. So this is what I came up with. Very simple but very tasty. Since you use salted sunflower seeds, use salt sparingly.

SUNFLOWER SEED COLE SLAW

Sunflower Seed Cole Slaw image

I love cole slaws that include fruit and nuts -- it really gives them a variety of textures and flavor. Great salad to serve with bbq. For best results, allow slaw to chill for several hours so flavors can meld. This recipe is from my Kenny Roger's cookbook.

TRIPLE FRUIT COLESLAW

Triple Fruit Coleslaw image

A sweet & sour version of coleslaw that has been a big hit with my family & friends. I found this recipe in my local newspaper and adjusted it a bit to meet our needs. Prepared recipe makes about 12 servings. **Update 2/10** Once I read the review I realized I should have stated that due to the fruits within this coleslaw - it truly does not store well after 2 days. Adjust servings as needed to meet your needs.
