Yes, it is possible to make sugar free, keto banana cookies using real banana. These healthy banana cookies come in at only 1.6g net carbs per cookie. Think bite-sized banana bread - moist, soft and full of flavour. Pure comfort food!

1/3 cup / 80g banana (mashed, very ripe (1 small banana))
1/2 cup / 50g almond flour
1/2 cup / 50g almond butter (unsalted)
1/4 cup / 50g butter (softened!)
1 egg (large)
1/4 cup / 50g golden erythritol
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup / 20g crushed walnuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C / 350F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mash the banana with a fork. Then blend all ingredients (except for the walnuts) in a bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Using a tablespoon, dollop the cookie batter onto the cookie sheet (1 tbsp per cookie).
  • Space the cookies out because the batter spreads. Top with the crushed walnuts if using.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until very lightly browned on the sides. Remove from the oven and let cool COMPLETELY before handling.

1 1/2 tablespoons butter or 1 1/2 tablespoons margarine
1 small ripe banana
1 tablespoon honey
1 egg white
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups self-raising flour
1 tablespoon milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F - 200°C Cover a baking sheets with a cooking paper.
  • Cream together butter, honey, mushed banana and egg white. Sift the flour with the vanilla extract and stir in the butter cream. Whisk to combine. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the covered baking sheets. Brush with milk. You can sprinkle some cinnamon or sugar substitute if you like. Bake about 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

I was searching for something sugar-free to take to a bake sale, and came across a recipe similar to this online. This is my modified version of that recipe. These sold quickly at the bake sale! They have a granola-like appearance and are soft and chewy. A little cinnamon added in might be good, too.

3 ripe bananas
2 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins
nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Mash bananas in a large bowl. Stir in the rest of the ingredients and combine well.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cooking sheet sprayed with baking spray.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
