1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice

Steps:

  • Place strawberries in a food processor; cover and process until pureed. Add sugar and orange juice; mix well. Serve over ice cream or cheesecake. Store in the refrigerator.

1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup champagne
3 tablespoons strawberry jelly (you can use preserves too but the texture will be different)
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 pint strawberry, stemmed and halved

Steps:

  • Mix together sugar, champagne and jelly in a saucepan.
  • Stir over medium heat and cook until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to lightly boil.
  • Mix water with corn starch in a separate bowl to form a paste.
  • Stir into the saucepan.
  • Cook on medium heat until slightly thickened.
  • Mix in strawberries and cook until heated and slightly softened.
  • Serve over ice cream, sorbet or shortcake with whipped cream.

1 tablespoon tequila (I use Jose Quervo Gold)
1 teaspoon sweetened lime juice (Rose's)
2 tablespoons strawberry jam (used homemade strawberry rhubarb)
1 tablespoon sugar

Steps:

  • In a small sauce pan, combine guava juice, strawberries, tequila, and lime juice.
  • Bring to a boil, cook 10 minutes.
  • Add strawberry jam and sugar.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Serve hot or cold!

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water

1 (10-ounce) package frozen sweetened strawberries, thawed
1 teaspoon orange liqueur, such as Triple Sec or Grand Marnier, or orange juice
1 tablespoon Port wine, or 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Thaw the berries completely overnight in the refrigerator. Put the thawed berries and all the juices in a strainer set over a medium bowl. Push the berries and most of the pulp through the strainer. Discard pulp. Stir in the orange liqueur, Port, or vanilla. Cover and refrigerate until shortly before serving, up to 3 days.
