For a healthy snack nibble on this mix of sunflower, pumpkin and linseeds, or sprinkle on salads and soups

Number Of Ingredients 7

250g mixed seed (sunflower, pumpkin, linseed)
1 tsp rapeseed oil
1 tsp ras-el-hanout
¼ tsp low-sodium salt
1 tsp reduced salt soy sauce
1 tsp agave syrup
pinch cayenne

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 160C/ 140 fan/ Gas mark 3.
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and spread onto a baking sheet. Cook for 15 - 20 mins until dry and golden. Stir once during cooking. Allow to cool and store in a sealed container for up to 3 weeks.

Spicy Pistachio, Nut & Seed Mix image

A great snack or for the party table. Sweet/salty.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 cup(s) pecan halves
3/4 cup(s) pine nuts
3/4 cup(s) shelled pumpkin seeds (peptitas)
1/3 cup(s) shelled pistachios
3 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
3 tablespoon(s) granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper (or more, to taste)
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Coat a 15x10x1-inch baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine pecans, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, pistachios and oil.
  • Mix in sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper and salt; make sure all nuts are covered.
  • Spoon nuts evenly across pan and place in oven. Bake about 15 to 20 minutes or until nuts are brown, shake pan frequently.
  • Remove from oven and cool. Store in airtight container.
