1/4 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3-1/2 pounds large red potatoes, cut into wedges

Steps:

  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first eight ingredients; add the potatoes. Seal bag and toss to coat. Arrange in a single layer on greased baking sheets. , Bake at 400° for 30-35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown, turning once.

6 medium potatoes (about 3 pounds)
1/4 cup olive oil
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon Greek seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
SAUCE:
1 cup Miracle Whip
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Cut each potato lengthwise into six wedges; place in a large bowl. Add oil and seasonings; toss to coat. Transfer to two foil-lined 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake 45-50 minutes or until tender, turning once., In a small bowl, mix sauce ingredients. Serve with potato wedges.

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
3 tablespoons honey
2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, cut into 1-inch chunks (about 6 cups)
1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 dashes hot sauce
1/4 cup toasted pecans, chopped
3 scallions, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Put the olive oil in a large mixing bowl. Add the salt, pepper, cinnamon, ginger and 1 tablespoon of the honey and whisk to combine. Add the potatoes and toss to coat. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet. Roast, stirring halfway though, until the potatoes are tender and the edges are crisp, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, make the glaze: Put the chili sauce, red pepper flakes, hot sauce and remaining 2 tablespoons honey in a small saucepot. Set the pot over medium-high heat and cook, stirring, until the ingredients come together, about 2 minutes.
  • Pour the warm glaze over the potatoes on the baking sheet and toss to coat. Pour the glazed potatoes into a serving dish and sprinkle with the pecans and scallions. Serve warm.

3 1/2 lb ( 5 or 6 ) large sweet potatoes
2 Tbsp olive oil
3/4 tsp salt ( just sprinkle on to your taste for fewer potatoes
1/4 tsp pepper - to your taste for fewer potatoes
FOR BASTING SAUCE
1/2 c orange juice, fresh
3 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 Tbsp honey
FOR DIPPING SAUCE
1 c ( 8 oz. ) carton sourcream
1/3 c cilantro, fresh chopped
1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1. Heat Oven to 400f- cover bottoms and sides of pans with foil and spray with cooking spray , Peel Potatoes and cut into wedges 1 inch thick ( I prick my potatoes a few times with point of knife, wrap in waxed paper and put in the microwave for 3 or 4 minutes for 2 potatoes, the skin will slide off and much easier to slice, ,be careful don't cook them all the way ) pour oil in a baggie, put potatoe wedges in the baggie with the oil, close baggie and toss the potatoes in the oil,
  • 2. Take potatoes out of oil and lay on pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, put in oven.cook uncovered
  • 3. As soon as you get potatoes in the oven, make the basting sauce, baste potatoes with sauce , 3 times and shake pan occ. Bake Potatoes 25 to 30 minutes till tender
  • 4. To Make Basting Sauce - In a Bowl, put Orange Juice,Honey and Chili Powder, Mix well
  • 5. To Make Dipping sauce - In a small bowl, mix sour cream, chili powder and cilantro till well mixed, serve with Potatoe Wedges .
