SPICED APPLE-GRAPE JUICE

- In a large saucepan, combine the grape juice, apple juice and water. Place the cinnamon, cloves and allspice on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag. Add to the pan., Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until flavors are blended. Discard spice bag. Serve warm in mugs.

- In a medium stockpot, combine Concord grape juice, cardamom pods, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer the mixture until the juice becomes infused with the spices, about 20 minutes. Serve immediately, or keep warm until ready to serve.
SHAKER SPICED GRAPE JUICE
This drink is a great alternative to hot apple cider. I've only had it once and got the recipe at Pleasant Union, one of the Shaker settlements here in Kentucky. The Shakers were wonderful cooks and most all of their recipes are deeelish.

HOT SPICED GRAPE JUICE
This is wonderful. I have had this recipe in my box for years and never tried it. It was cold the other morning and I wanted something different then the usual morning drink while I was posting recipes!!! LOL Anyway, I found this, from my mom, I think, and it is so good. I don't know why I haven't tried this until now!
