Yukon gold potatoes
butter
chopped onion
all-purpose flour
salt
2% milk
Daisy Sour Cream
shredded Asiago cheese

Steps:

  • Butter an 11x7-inch (2 quart) baking dish and set aside.
  • Slice the peeled potatoes to 1/8-inch-thick circles. Place the potatoes in a large saucepan or Dutch oven; add water to cover by 1-inch. Cook until tender and cool slightly.
  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion; cook 1 minute. Stir in the flour and salt. Cook until the mixture bubbles.
  • Gradually stir in the milk and cook until the mixture boils. Reduce the heat to low.
  • Stir in the sour cream and cheese. Cook on low until cheese is melted, stirring constantly.
  • Layer half of potatoes in baking dish. Pour half the sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and sauce. Sprinkle the potatoes with paprika.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until bubbly and the top starts to brown.

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 cup thinly sliced red onions
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or green onions
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In large bowl, stir sauce mix pouches (from potato mix boxes), boiling water, milk, cream cheese, sour cream, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder with whisk. Stir in potatoes (from potato mix boxes), chicken and onions; pour into baking dish. Bake 30 minutes.
  • Stir mixture. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until thermometer inserted in center of casserole reads at least 165°F and potatoes are tender and lightly browned. Top with chives. In small bowl, mix Chive Sour Cream ingredients; serve with casserole.

2 cups sour cream
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

8 medium baking potatoes, about 8 ounces each, scrubbed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 cup reduced-fat sour cream
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1/4 cup snipped chives

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prick potatoes in several places with a fork. Place on a baking sheet, and bake until easily pierced with the tip of a knife, 50 to 60 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make onion sour cream: In a 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-low heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until translucent, 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl; cool to room temperature.

1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

¾ cup crumbled cooked bacon
½ cup diced red onion
2 cups shredded American cheese
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups water
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can Mexican-style corn (optional)
1 container chive and onion sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded american and cheddar cheese (6 oz)
1/2 lb cubed cooked ham
French-fried onions (regular or cheddar flavor)

Steps:

  • Place butter and potatoes in crock pot.
  • Stir to coat (this helps the potatoes keep their shape do not skip that step!).

½ onion, thinly sliced
9 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
6 tablespoons butter, diced and divided
salt and ground black pepper to taste
3 cups whole milk, or as needed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread about 1/3 of the potato slices into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Top with about 1/3 of the onion slices. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons flour over the potato and onion. Arrange 2 tablespoons butter atop the flour. Season the entire layer with salt and pepper. Repeat layering twice more.
