8 ounces Hillshire Farm® Rope Smoked Sausage, cut into 1" coins
8 ounces Brussels sprouts, halved lengthwise
8 small shallots, peeled and halved lengthwise
3 tablespoons olive oil
¼ cup honey
¼ cup coarse-grained mustard
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
½ teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Toss sausage, Brussels sprouts, and shallots with oil and thread onto 4-inch skewers. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until vegetables are tender, 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Preheat broiler. Broil until caramelized, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together honey, mustard, vinegar, and pepper. Brush skewers with 1/3 of the honey mixture. Broil 1 minute. Serve skewers with remaining sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup half-and-half, divided
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup vinegar
2 (5 ounce) packages cocktail smoked sausage links, heated

Steps:

  • Add 3/4 cup half-and-half to a small saucepan; place over low heat, stirring occasionally, until bubbly.
  • In a bowl, combine the next 5 ingredients with the remaining half-and-half, stir to mix well.
  • Gradually add heated half-and-half, and mix well.
  • Return mixture to saucepan; cook on low, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened.
  • Remove sauce from heat and gradually stir in vinegar.
  • Serve with sausages (I have guessed at the amount of sausages needed; the original recipe did not specify).

1/4 cup honey mustard
2 tablespoons apple jelly
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 medium apples, sliced
1 package (12 ounces) fully cooked apple chicken sausage links or flavor of your choice, sliced
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk honey mustard, jelly and water until blended. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add apples; cook and stir 2-3 minutes or until tender. Remove from pan., Add sausage to skillet; cook and stir 2-4 minutes or until browned. Return apples to skillet. Add mustard mixture; cook and stir 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with rice.

2 lbs Polish sausage or 2 lbs smoked sausage
1 large onion, quartered
2/3 cup dark beer
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup mustard
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons water

Steps:

  • Slice the sausage into 1 inch rounds.
  • Place in a crock-pot
  • Top with the onions.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over the sausage and onions.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Mix together cornstarch and water to form a paste add into crock-pot during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
