One Pot Swedish Beef Pasta image

One pot, one pound of beef, and one package of egg noodles makes for a delicious and easy One Pot Swedish Beef Pasta that your family will love.

1 pound ground beef
1 cup thinly sliced onion
8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon caraway seed
12 ounces egg noodles, uncooked
3 1/2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Heat a Dutch oven covered with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Crumble the beef into the pan and add the onions and mushrooms. Saute until the beef is browned and the onions are tender.
  • Add the garlic salt, caraway seeds, and egg noddles. Stir in the beef broth. Bring the broth to a boil, cover, and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until the noodles are cooked.
  • Remove from heat, stir in the sour cream, and serve.

1 small carrot, trimmed and scraped
1/2 lb fine egg noodles (thin ones)
salt & freshly ground black pepper
5 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dill weed, chopped

Steps:

  • Julienne carrots into about 2 inch lengths. There will be about 2/3 cups.
  • Prepare noodles according to package directions to desired doneness. Drain.
  • Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add carrots and season with salt and pepper. Cook about 2 minutes while stirring. Spoon cooked and drained egg noodles over carrots. Add dill and remaining butter and toss to combine. Serve hot.

Everyone's favorite Swedish meatballs with pasta noodles tossed right into that cream sauce goodness. So heavenly, so good.

8 ounces elbow macaroni
3/4 pound ground beef
3/4 pound ground pork
1/3 cup Panko
2 large egg yolks
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups beef stock
1/3 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, Panko, egg yolks, green onions, parsley, allspice and nutmeg; season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Using a wooden spoon or clean hands, stir until well combined. Roll the mixture into 1-to-1-1/4-inch meatballs, forming about 24 meatballs. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add meatballs, in batches, and cook until all sides are browned, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate; set aside. Melt butter in the skillet. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in beef stock and cook, whisking constantly, until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in meatballs and cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through and thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in pasta and sour cream until heated through, about 2-3 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve immediately.

2 cups beef broth
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
4 cups egg noodle
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
½ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, ½ tablespoon salt, and ½ tablespoon pepper, mixing until evenly combined.
  • Heat the canola oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Take about a golf-ball size of the meatball mixture and roll it into balls. Place the meatballs into the pot, cooking for one minute. Flip the meatballs.

1 ½ cups Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
¾ cup milk, divided
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ½ teaspoons salt

⅛ teaspoon ground allspice
2 tablespoons salted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups low-sodium beef broth
1 dash Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C).

1 cup Progresso™ plain panko crispy bread crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1 tablespoon butter
1 carton (32 oz) Progresso™ chicken broth
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
4 cups medium egg noodles (from 16-oz bag)

Steps:

  • In large bowl, mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, 2 tablespoons of the parsley, 1 teaspoon of the salt, the pepper and allspice until well combined. Add milk, Worcestershire sauce and egg. Shape mixture into 12 (2-inch) meatballs.
  • In 5-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add meatballs; cook 8 to 11 minutes, gently turning occasionally, just until browned on all sides.
  • Add broth, whipping cream and remaining 1 teaspoon salt; heat to boiling. Stir in noodles; return to boiling.
