Number Of Ingredients 8

vegetable oil cooking spray
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup chunky salsa
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spray 9"x5"x3" loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed.
  • Add bananas, salsa and eggs and mix well. Add flour and baking soda and mix well.
  • Pour mixture into prepared loaf pan.
  • BAKE 1 hours or until done.
  • Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minute.
  • Remove from pan and cool completely on rack.

Pace Salsa recipes says making this bread with the salsa will be wonderful surprise in this quick bread! Their idea- recipe my way. The Chunky Salsa adds body and a bold kick of flavor to the banana bread. It will disappear before it is even cool! Try a piece and see...(Sheri I know you want a piece...LOL)

1/2 c butter, softened
1 c granulated sugar
2 large eggs, unbeaten
3 large over-ripe bananas, mashed
1 c pace* chunky salsa
1/4 c dairy buttermilk
2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp lemon juice

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350^. Spray bottom and corners of 9x5 loaf pan ,place wax paper in the pan and spray it too.
  • 2. Cream butter and gradually add sugar creaming well. Add eggs, bananas, salsa and lemon juice. Add flour, soda and mix alternately with the milk and dry ingredients. Beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend well after each addition. Use low speed.
  • 3. Pour batter into prepared pan.Place on bottom rack of oven. Bake for 1 hour checking after 50 minutes and test with toothpick.Cool on rack for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and remove wax paper. and cook completely- can brush top with honey mixed with lemon juice if desired.

Not my recipe...someone sent it to me and no one would try it...they said it sounded ycky!! Well, I made it and let me tell you, it was gobbled up so fast I barely got to get some pix and a taste for myself. If I was guessing, I'm guessing they like it. AS IT WAS BAKING IT SMELLED A LITTLE LIKE TOASTED BANANA BREAD. IT...

1/2 c butter, softened (or 1-cup margarine)-i used butter
1 c sugar
3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
1 c thick & chunky salsa (i used mild...use what you like)
2 eggs
2 c all-purpose flour and
1 tsp baking soda
(i added 1 cup of broken pecan nuts)..that's right, i just can't stick to a recipe

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Spray 9"x5"x3" loaf pan with vegetable cooking spray.
  • 2. BEAT butter and sugar until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed.
  • 3. ADD bananas, salsa and eggs and mix well.
  • 4. ADD flour and baking soda and mix well.
  • 5. POUR mixture into prepared loaf pan.
  • 6. BAKE 1 hr. or until done. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 min. Remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Makes 1 loaf.
  • 7. WELL THIS IS A KEEPER!!! IT IS SOOOOO MOIST. IT MADE 1-MINI LOAF AND 1-BREAD LOAF SIZE IF I'D USED MY LARGER LOAF PAN I GUESS I COULD HAVE GOTTEN IT ALL IN THE ONE...but, I didn't want to. I TOOK THE MINI LOAF OUT AFTER 30 MIN'S OF BAKING, IT WAS DONE BEING SO SMALL. THE LARGER SIZE LOAF TOOK A BIT OVER THE 1-HR THAT WAS SUGGESTED, (about 8 to 10 min's more). Check it though, most ovens bake a bit different.

vegetable cooking spray
1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
1 c pace® chunky salsa
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda

Steps:

  • 1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with the cooking spray.
  • 2. Beat the butter and sugar in a medium bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy. Stir in the bananas, salsa and eggs. Stir in the flour and baking soda. Pour the mixture into the loaf pan.
  • 3. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  • 4. TIP: It's best to set the oven rack in the middle of the oven for this recipe NOTE: Recipe and photo used with permission.
