THE WHISKEY SOUR
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled sour glass or over fresh ice in an old-fashioned glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry or lemon peel. Enjoy.

Steps:
- Combine the Bourbon, lemon juice, lime juice and syrup. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, then fill two-thirds full with the cocktail mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and serve it straight up or over ice in a highball glass with a maraschino cherry.

Every year during the holidays, my husband Ron mixes up a batch of his whiskey sours. This makes a nice sized batch, is quick and easy to make and is popular with friends and family.

- Place all ingredients in a 1-gallon size plastic milk jug. Put lid on jug and shake vigorously.
- Put a marachino cherry in each glass. Add ice chips and fill with whiskey sour.
