Steps:

  • Hi Denise, You can buy Agave syrup through GlobalGoods.com or buy sugar-free syrup in grocery stores on the syrup/pancake mix aisle. You can use splenda in place of sugar to make your own syrup (Boil 1 cup water and 2 cups splenda for 5-10 minutes. Flavor with 1 teaspoon maple flavoring.) You can also make my favorite fruit syrup with no added sugar. Desi's Date Sauce Cover 7 pitted, whole dates with 1 cup water. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour water and dates into blender container. Add 1 cup berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.). Blend until smooth. The dates will thicken and sweeten the sauce naturally. Serve over pancakes, waffles, or ice cream! Happy Cook'n, Desiri Wightman, R.D.
