I came up with this "short-cut" lasagna one day when the dinner hour was fast approaching and all I had in the freezer was some frozen ravioli. Now I make it often, and my husband and son devour it. -Anne Plesmid, Sagamore Hills, Ohio

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pound ground turkey
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon olive oil
3-1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
1 package (25 ounces) frozen cheese ravioli, cooked and drained
3 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Minced fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook turkey over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper; set aside. , In a large saucepan, cook carrots and mushrooms in oil until tender. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Spread 1/2 cup sauce in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Layer with half of the ravioli, spaghetti sauce mixture, turkey and cheeses. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with parsley if desired. , Cover and bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly. Uncover; bake 10 minutes longer. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
salt/pepper
10-ounce frozen spinach, thawed (I used fresh spinach) (optional)
16-ounce bowtie pasta, cooked
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Put in crock-pot and add sauce, tomatoes and seasonings. Cook for 6-7 hours on low. Add the last 4 ingredients during the last 30 minutes of cooking and turn crock-pot to high. I added the fresh spinach, pasta, parmesan and 1 cup of the mozzarella and I mixed it all up really well. Then I added the last 1/2 cup of mozzarella to melt on the top.

3/4 cup(s) cubed pepperjack cheese
2 cup(s) sliced leftover turkey
1 teaspoon(s) seasoned pepper
1 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
2 tablespoon(s) chopped sun-dried tomatoes
3/4 cup(s) shredded parmesan cheese
2 cup(s) condensed cheddar cheese soup
2 - (9-oz.) packages refrigerated cheese ravioli
1 cup(s) chopped carrot
1 cup(s) (4 oz.) shredded mexican cheese blend
PARMESAN GRILLED ONIONS
2 tablespoon(s) margarine
1 - vidalia onions,peeled and diced
3/4 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Grease a 11'' x 7'' baking dish with cooking spray.Add cubed sharp cheddar and pepperjack cheese.
  • In a large bowl,combine sliced turkey,seasoned pepper,cumin and sun-dried tomatoes.Mix well.
  • In a large skillet,coat with cooking spray,add turkey mixture and saute for 8 minutes.Stir in shredded parmesan cheese.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • To make Parmesan Grilled Onions:in a medium skillet,combine margarine and diced onions,saute for 6 minutes until browned.Add grated parmesan cheese.
  • Spread 1/2 cup cheddar cheese soup in a prepared baking dish.Arrange half of ravioli over the sauce.Top with half of Parmesan Grilled Onions,1 cup turkey mixture,1/2 cup chopped carrot and 1/2 cup soup.Repeat layers.
  • Pour remaining soup over the top;sprinkle withe cheeses. Bake,uncovered for 30 minutes or until throughly heated and lightly browned.Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.

2 - 9 oz pkgs frozen cheese filled ravioli, thawed.
1-1/2 pound(s) ground turkey breast
1 large onion, chopped.
6 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
1 - 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained.
1 - 10.75 oz can reduced-fat, condensed cream of tomato soup
1 teaspoon(s) dried, crushed basil
1 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
1-1/2 cup(s) reduced-fat, shredded mozzarella cheese.
1/2 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375. Cokk ravioli as directed, drain. Return to pot and keep warm. In lg skillet, cook ground turkey, onion and garlic over medium heat until turkey is fully browned. Stir in tomatoes, soup, basil and oregano. Gently stirr in ravioli. Spray a 3-quart baking dish w/ cooking spray. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Sprinkle top w/ both cheeses. Bake, uncovered for 20 min, or until heated through.
