I prefer using organic products where possible. Feel free to swap out the ingredients to use what your family regularly uses.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups organic all purpose flour
1/2 cup cold butter
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp baking soda mixed in 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or buttermilk)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
3 Italian seasoned sausages (I used Bilinsky's organic chicken-cooked and chopped into small bits)
1 or 1 1/2 cups of shredded Italian cheese (I used Organic Valley's Italian blend- mozzarella, provolone, romano & parmesan cheeses)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
  • In your mixer, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together.
  • Add the milk to the dry mix and grate the butter into the mix
  • Now add the grated cheese, sausages and mix well.
  • Spoon the prepared batter into your muffin pans. (This will make 12 regular sized muffins and 24 mini muffins or 24 regular sized muffins)
  • Place the trays into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes (Or till the muffins are golden brown)

Yield 4 dozen mini muffins or 2 dozen regular muffins.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
1/2 cup whole milk
2 to 3 teaspoons rubbed sage
3 cups biscuit/baking mix

Steps:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until no longer pink; drain. In a bowl, combine soup, milk, sage and sausage. Stir in the biscuit mix just until moistened. Fill greased miniature or regular muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until muffins test done.

1 lb sausage, any variety
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
2 -3 teaspoons sage, if your sausage doesn't have any in it
1/2 cup milk
3 cups Bisquick

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Brown the sausage and drain well.
  • Mix in milk, soup, and sage. Stir in the Bisquick just until moistened.
  • Fill greased muffin cups. Bake until golden brown, 25-30 min (depending on your oven).
