A project for Parents and kids. But beware the Popcorn Is hot, and you should mold it with wax paper on your hands. Kids get to do the fun part and that is put the candies on.

12 cups popped popcorn
1/3 cup margarine
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 ounces lime Jell-O gelatin
1/4 cup M&M'
gumdrop (or any candies you can think of to decorate with)

Steps:

  • Spread popcorn evenly on 15z10 jelly roll pan or on waxed paper lined counter.
  • In medium saucepan, combine margarine and marshmallows, cook over medium heat until melted.
  • Add gelatin, continue to cook until gelatin begins to dissolve.
  • Pour mixture evenly over popcorn, stirring quickly to coat.
  • With dampened hands, shape popcorn into cone shape--mixture will be HOT.
  • Decorate with candies.

I can't find the actual recipe, I brought it home from school one day and so it became a yearly Christmas tradition for me and my mom to make this wonderful edible little popcorn tree. Number Of Ingredients 5

12 c popped corn
1 c butter
2 10 oz. bags of marshmallow
colorful sugar-coated candies
colorful gummie candies

Steps:

  • 1. In a large pot, melt the butter and marshmallows.
  • 2. Spread the popcorn out on a jelly roll pan and drizzle all the melted marshmallow over it. Toss it a little so that the popcorn is all coated.
  • 3. Mound the popcorn onto a Christmas serving platter and mold the popcorn into a large cone.
  • 4. Work quickly to shape the cone as it will become more difficult to mold it as it cools down.
  • 5. With all the colorful candies, you can stick them onto the popcorn tree or use toothpick to decorate the tree.
  • 6. Don't forget to put the last and most important candy on the top of the tree, use a lollipop.

1 cup white baking chips
1 cup red and green milk chocolate M&M's
8 miniature candy canes, coarsely crushed
1/2 cup salted peanuts

Steps:

  • Microwave popcorn according to package directions. Transfer to a large bowl. In a microwave, melt white baking chips; stir until smooth. Pour over popcorn and stir until coated. Add the M&M's, candy canes and peanuts., Immediately spread onto waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in an airtight container.

10 cups popped popcorn
1 package (10 ounces) large marshmallows
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional: Candy canes, black pearl sprinkles, orange licorice pastels, white Smarties

Steps:

  • Place popcorn in a large bowl. In a large saucepan, combine marshmallows, butter and salt. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until melted. Pour over popcorn; mix well. Cool slightly., With greased hands, shape mixture into 12 popcorn balls, about 3/4 cup each. Place on waxed paper. Decorate as desired; let stand until set.
