1 (15 1/4 ounce) can pineapple chunks
2 tablespoons catsup
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 dash ground red pepper

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple chunks, reserving juice. Add water to juice to make 1 cup.
  • In a saucepan combine juice mixture, catsup, vinegar, cornstarch, brown sugar, soy sauce, beef bouillon, and ground red pepper.
  • Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  • Add pineapple and serve.

1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 tablespoon minced orange rind

My daughter loves polynesian sauce for her chicken nuggets from Chik-fil-A. I searched a recipe for polynesian sauce and I found one and it is fairly close but it is really good. It is so easy to fix it.

1/2 c pineapple juice
1/4 c honey
3 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp ketchup
cornstarch (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. If it is too runny, sprinkle in a bit of cornstarch, but make sure to stir well.

1 (15 ounce) can peach slices, drained and chopped
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch clove
1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, slighty thawed
1 cup water
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup maraschino cherry, left whole or sliced in half (optional)

Steps:

  • In a saucepan combine the cornstarch with cinnamon and cloves; add in the reserved peach and pineapple juice, orange juice concentrate and water.
  • bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
  • Reduce heat, then stir in chopped peaches, crushed pineapple, raisins and cherries (if using) simmer 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve this warm or cooled with ham.

1 cup pineapple preserves
1/2 cup cheap sherry wine
1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 lbs chicken (wings, strips or whaterver you like)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients, except for chicken, together.
  • Place chicken in a glass baking dish.
  • Pour half of the mixture on top of chicken.
  • Marinate over night.
  • The next day preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Remove chicken from sauce and place in baking dish.
  • Pour the left over sauce on top of chicken.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
