CHEESY PIZZA HOT DOGS

Cooking spray
1 pound refrigerated pizza dough, at room temperature
3 mozzarella cheese sticks
6 beef, turkey or vegetarian hot dogs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450˚ F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a long, thin rope about four times the length of a hot dog.
  • Slice each piece of string cheese in half lengthwise. Slice each hot dog lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through. Place 1 piece of cheese in each sliced hot dog.
  • Wind a rope of pizza dough around a hot dog from one end to the other. Repeat with the remaining hot dogs and pizza dough.
  • Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared pan. Bake until the dough is golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes.

4 slices pepperoni, halved
½ cup pizza sauce
2 hot dog buns
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 teaspoons sliced olives

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Make 4 slits down each hot dog. Place hot dogs in the air fryer basket and cook for 3 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board using tongs.
  • Place a pepperoni half in each slit of the hot dogs. Divide pizza sauce between buns and fill with the hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, and olives.
  • Return hot dogs to the air fryer basket and cook until buns are crisp and cheese is melted, about 2 minutes.

1/2 c pizza sauce
8 hot dogs
16 slice round pepperoni
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven 375 degrees. Grease a baking sheet. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into 8 triangles.
  • 2. Place 2 tsp. pizza sauce on each triangle. Place 2 slices pepperoni and each triangle. Place a hot dog on each triangle and top with half the mozzarella cheese
  • 3. Roll each triangle at the widest end. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until browned. Add remaining pizza sauce on top of each roll. Top with remaining cheese. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

1/4 cup pizza sauce
8 hot dogs
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Unroll and seperate crescent rolls into 8 triangles.
  • Spread each triangle with 1 1/2 tsp pizza sauce. Place one weiner on each triangle at the widest edge. Sprinkle cheese on top. Roll up toward the point of each triangle.
  • Place rolls on baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden.

  • 1. Heat oven to 425^. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, 1/3 cup milk and 2 Tablespoons of the pizza sauce with fork until soft dough forms; beat 30 seconds. - pizza sauce
- pepperoni
- pizza cheese (we like the four cheese blend)
- hotdog buns

Steps:

  • Cook hotdogs any way you like we usually grill them or fry in a pan.(not a fan of boiled)
  • Open and warm your pizza sauce or make mine. Will link mine to this recipe later after posting.
  • Open your buns and cover lightly in sauce,top with cheese and place your pepperoni as you wish. Place under broiler until cheese melts
  • Put dog on bun and serve.
