I had my first Pink Cadillac when I was in Las Vegas for my best friend's wedding. This is a refreshing change from a traditional margarita.

2 fluid ounces gold tequila
2 fluid ounces sweet-and-sour cocktail mix
1 fluid ounce orange liqueur (such as Cointreau®)
1 fluid ounce cranberry juice
1 splash orange juice
ice cubes

Steps:

  • Pour tequila, sweet-and-sour mix, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, and orange juice into a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake vigorously until blended.
  • Strain over ice into a tall glass or oversized martini glass.

Relinquish your car keys before you start imbibing this knock your socks off margarita. Like that famed pink Cadillac, it may look (and taste) smooth, but be warned, it is strong and powerful. It is not an authentic margarita, since there is no tequila in it, but it tastes and looks like one. A perfect drink to savor in...

8 oz pink lemonade concentrate, frozen
24 oz water (3 cups)
1 c granulated sugar
8 oz old smokey mountain moonshine
1/4 c grenadine

Steps:

  • 1. Place sugar and water in small saucepan and cook on medium low heat until sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is a clear syrup. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • 2. Place all ingredients in a large blender or food processor and pulse until ingredients are well blended
  • 3. Prepare a margarita glass(es) by moistening the rim and then dipping in coarse sea or kosher salt
  • 4. Fill the glass(es) with ice cubes or crushed ice and gently pour the margarita mix over the ice.
  • 5. Optional - Garnish with thin lemon or lime slices
  • 6. Any leftover may be stored in fridge for a couple of days.
