1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons orange marmalade
1 teaspoon maple flavoring

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugars and water. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in the pineapple, marmalade and maple flavoring. Refrigerate leftovers.

This is a summertime drink my mother used to serve back in the 70's when she was entertaining. Best served in frosted glasses.You''l need time for the juices to chill if they are not already. (not included in cooking time)

2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
1 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pint Orange sherbet
mint sprig (optional)
