Pepperoni 'n Cheese Balls image

Easy to make treat that the kids and grownups alike will love. Cubes of mozzarella and pepperoni slices are enclosed in refrigerator French bread dough and baked. Found this on the internet, but I'm betting it originally came from Pillsbury who makes the dough.

PEPPERONI BALLS RECIPE

Pepperoni Balls Recipe image

Number Of Ingredients 3

Pizza Dough
Oil
Pepperoni

Steps:

  • Pepperoni balls. Just make some pizza dough, take a good little hunk of it, and stick a couple of slices of pepperoni inside. Fold until the pep is totally in the middle of it. Do this until you are out of dough (you will likely end up with 20-30 balls for a regular sized batch of pizza). Then brush the balls with oil and throw in the oven at 375 for about 20 mins (I think). You can also add cheese, sauce, whatever the hell you want. Ridiculously good. *To make pizza dough, warm one cup of water and add a packet of yeast. Add one tsp. sugar and allow to proof for 15 minutes. When the yeast has become nice and fizzy, dump this into a bowl that contains one cup of flour and a tsp. of kosher salt. Mix this until smoothly blended. Then keep adding flour until it won't take any more. Knead it by hand until smooth and elastic, then allow to rise in a warm, dark place until it has doubled. Punch it down. This makes enough dough for two pizzas.

Number Of Ingredients 3

6 oz pepperoni
8 oz cream cheese softened
2 10 oz cans refrigerated crescent rolls

  • 1. Separate crescent rolls in triangles. Flatten each triangle and slice into 3 small triangles. Dice pepperoni into very small pieces and add cream cheese. Mix well. Put a small spoonful of cream cheese/pepperoni in the middle of each small triangle. Pinch all sides around filling, rolling into a ball. Place balls onto cookie sheet and bake 10-13 minutes at 375.
  • 2. You can add shredded mozzarella cheese with the filling to make them gooey.
