No-Yeast Peanut Butter Bread image

Nonstick cooking spray or softened butter, for greasing
1 1/3 cups milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup peanut butter chips
Three 1.55-ounce chocolate bars, such as Hershey's

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or butter. Line with a strip of parchment paper so that it hangs over the narrow ends of the loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and peanut butter until well blended. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and fold to combine. Fold in the peanut butter chips.
  • Pour enough batter into the prepared loaf pan to fill it halfway up the sides. Place an even layer of chocolate bars on top of the batter and then top with the remaining batter. Bake until a cake tester comes out just clean, about 40 minutes. Let cool for 1 hour, then remove from the loaf pan.

1 pkg active dry yeast
1 1/4 cups warm water
1/4 cup peanut butter, crunchy
1/4 cup chopped peanuts
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 cups all purpose flour

Steps:

  • 1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a bowl.Add peanut butter,peanuts,salt,brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups flour and beat with mixer at med speed for 2 min.
  • 2. Add remaining flour and stir until smooth.cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. beat for 25 strokes. place in well-buttered 9 x 5 x 2-inch pan and cover.let rise until dough is 1 inch above top of pan.
  • 3. bake at 375'degrees for 45 min or until brown.

This peanut butter bread is so easy to make and just 3 ingredients. It doesn't require yeast, kneading, or proofing. It also doesn't require any sugar, eggs, butter or oil. The bread takes less than ten minutes to prepare and then it's ready to go in the oven.

1/2 cup (128 g) unsweetened creamy natural peanut butter
1 1/3 cup (10.6 oz) milk (I used low fat)
2 cups (250 g) self-rising flour ((see notes for making your own self-rising flour))

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 4 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together peanut butter and milk until uniform. Add in flour and mix until batter is smooth and no flour chunks remain. The batter will be very thick so it is a little hard to mix by hand. If you find it too hard you can use an electric mixer.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake about 35-40 minutes or until bread is golden on top and done. A toothpick inserted should come out clean and when you press on the surface of the bread it should bounce back. Let bread cool before slicing.
