This is a great, healthy snack or finger food that pairs well with a cold beer, if desired. I came up with this recipe and needed to share.

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 (15 ounce) cans chickpeas, drained
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon salt, divided, or to taste
2 teaspoons hot sauce
2 teaspoons ground paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground cumin

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Combine drained chickpeas, olive oil, 2 teaspoons salt, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, and cumin in a large bowl. Spread evenly over 2 baking sheets.
  • Bake in the center of the preheated oven, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes, until chickpeas are golden and look dry on the outside, about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining 1 teaspoon salt. Let cool before serving, 5 to 10 minutes.

2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed (about 3 cups)
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Combine RawSpiceBar's garam masala spices, olive oil and salt in a large bowl. 3. Add chickpeas, stir to coat. 4. Place chickpeas evenly on baking sheet. Bake until chickpeas are crisp, turning occasionally, about 40-50 minutes. Let cool on baking sheet, transfer to a bowl, and serve as a snack or throw on top of a salad for a spiced up, healthy lunch.

1 - 15 ounce can chickpeas
1 - tablespoon olive oil
1 - tablespoon chunky sea salt
2 - teaspoons spice like garam masala

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400 1. Pour chick peas into colander and drain. Rinse very well under running water. Pat dry - chickpeas won't turn crunchy if soggy. 2. Toss chickpeas with oil and spread on cookie sheet. 3. Roast for 30-40 minutes. Turn and stir every 10 minutes so won't burn until brown and crispy. 4. Take out, toss with salt & spice.
