We love cupcakes - and surprises. Each of these chocolate cupcakes comes with a hidden cookie surprise. But, shh... you didn't hear it from us.

1 package (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 tablespoons white sugar
48 each Mini OREO Bite Size Cookies, divided
1 ½ cups thawed frozen whipped topping

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Mix cream cheese, egg and sugar until blended.
  • Spoon half the cake batter into 24 paper-lined muffin cups. Top each with about 1-1/2 teaspoon cream cheese mixture and 1 cookie; cover with remaining cake batter.
  • Bake 19 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely.
  • Frost with whipped topping. Top with remaining cookies.

Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake with an Oreo Surprise image

This cake is so good. The middle is stuffed with cheesecake and oreo cookies. The glaze is so chocolaty good.

1 box fudge cake mix
1 3/4 c milk
2 large eggs
1 small pkg. chocolate pudding mix
filling
16 oz cream cheese softened
1/2 c sugar
2 large eggs
12 oreo cookies crushed
glaze
12 oz dark chocolate chips
1/4 c butter cut into pieces
1/4 c heavy cream

Steps:

  • 1. Mix cake mix, milk, eggs and pudding mix. Place half of the batter in greased bundt pan.
  • 2. Mix the cream cheese, sugar, eggs well. fold in cookies. Pour over top cake mixture. Pour the other half of batter over top.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes. Invert onto platter and cool.
  • 4. Melt chips, butter, and cream in microwave and drizzle over cake

1 egg

  • HEAT oven to 350°F Prepare cake batter as directed on package; spoon 1/2 evenly into 24 paper or foil-lined muffin cups, filling each cup about 1/2 full.
  • Beat cream cheese, egg and sugar until well blended. Top each with about 1-1/2 teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture and 1 cookie. Cover with remaining cake batter.
  • BAKE 19 to 22 minute or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. (There may be an indentation in top of each cupcake after baking.).
  • FROST cupcakes with COOL WHIP. Garnish with remaining cookies.

OR IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN USED VANILLA FROASTING INSTEAD OF COOL WHIPPED

2 stick softened margarine or butter
3/4 c granulated sugar
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3, 1/2 c flour, all purpose
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 c chocolate chips
21 oreo cookies, crushed in food processor
3 oz cream cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an electric mixer beat butter and sugars until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a large bowl place flour, salt and baking soda and mix. Add to your wet ingredients in mixer. Then add your chocolate chips. After adding your chocolate chips just mix a short time to blend together.
  • 2. Oreo Balls: Place oreo cookies in a food processor, mix until finely ground. Place into a bowl and mix with cream cheese until dough is firm. Take 1 tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Continue making dough balls of which you should end up with 36.
  • 3. Cookies: With a large cookie scoop, scoop dough onto parchment lined baking sheet. Press a little hole in the center of dough and put your oreo truffle inside of cookie. Cover cookie around the oreo truffle so it is hidden in the middle.
  • 4. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until edges of cookies just begin to turn golden brown. Remove and let cool on a baking sheet before transferring to cooling rack. This should make 36 cookies.

How to make Oreo Truffle Surprise Cookies

3/4 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon pure vanilla
3 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 Cups chocolate chips
21 Oreos
3 oz softened cream cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a stand or electric mixer beat butter and sugars until well combined. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until combined.
  • Place flour, salt and baking soda into a large bowl; mix. Add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips. Mix until just combined.
  • Place Oreos into a food processor or blender, mix until finely ground. Place into a bowl and mix with cream cheese until dough forms. Take 1 Tablespoon of dough and roll into a ball. Continue until all dough has been rolled, you should get 36 balls, enough for all of the cookie dough.
  • With a large cookie scoop, scoop dough onto a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet. Press a little hole into center of dough and put Oreo Truffle inside, cover cookie dough around Oreo Truffle so it's hidden in the middle. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until edges of cookies just begin to turn golden brown. Remove and let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack. Now.....eat up
