1/2 lb cream cheese (8 oz.)
1/2 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (8 oz.)
1 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1 (5 ounce) bottle prepared horseradish

Steps:

  • In top of double boiler over boiling water, combine the cream cheese and Cheddar cheese. Stir until cheeses are melted and blended together.
  • Add the mayonnaise and the horseradish.
  • Turn into bowl and let stand for at least 30 minutes for flavors to blend.
  • Good served at room temperature or chilled.
  • To store, place in a covered container and refrigerate. For dipping or spreading, fresh vegetables, Melba toast or crisp crackers of your choice. Will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon heavy cream
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
3 drops hot pepper sauce
⅛ teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, mayonnaise and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix in the sweet pickle relish, onion, horseradish, hot pepper sauce and garlic salt. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving.

1 cup water
1/2 cup butter, cut into 8 pieces
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 cup (4 ounces) finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 tablespoon finely chopped seeded jalapeno pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. In a 2-qt. saucepan, bring water, butter and salt to a boil over medium heat. Add flour all at once and stir until a smooth ball forms, about 2 minutes., Remove from the heat; let stand 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until mixture is smooth and shiny. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese, jalapeno and cayenne., Drop into 1-in. mounds onto prepared baking sheet 2 in. apart. Sprinkle dough with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
