1 tablespoon olive oil
½ onion (finely diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
⅔ cup ketchup
¼ cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan on medium low heat, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer 20 minutes or until thickened.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 tbs olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 can of tomato sauce (or instead use 1 cup all natural catsup and omit the tomato paste)
4 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 cup molasses
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup white vinegar or cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Dash salt

Steps:

  • Place tomato sauce, paste/ OR catsup into a pan. Add spices, stir and then add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce to low and simmer for 1 hour to thicken.
