This chicken is cooked in a mild mustard sauce, you add poppy seeds and serve on a bed of pasta.

8 chicken pieces (about 4oz. each)
4 Tbsp butter, melted
4 Tbsp mild mustard (dijon, german, bavarian)
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
3 Tbsp poppy seeds
14oz. fresh pasta shells
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in a large ovenproof dish. Mix together the butter, mustard, lemon juice, sugar and paprika in a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Brush the mixture over the upper surfaces of the chicken pieces and bake in a preheated oven at 400F for 15 minutes,
  • 2. Remove the dish from the oven and carefully turn over the chicken pieces. Coat the upper surfaces of the chicken with the remaining mustard mixture, sprinkle the chicken pieces with poppy seeds and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile, bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and olive oil and cook for 8-10 minutes or until tender, but still firm to bite.
  • 4. Drain the pasta thoroughly and arrange on a warmed serving dish. Top the pasta with the chicken, and pour the sauce over the top and serve immediately.

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.

4 tablespoon(s) dijon mustard
3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice, fresh
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) paprika
3 tablespoon(s) poppy seeds
14 ounce(s) small pasta shells
3 clove(s) mashed garlic
1 cup(s) frozen or fresh peas
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Arrange chicken pieces in single layer in ovenproof casserole dish.. Mix the mustard, sugar, lemon juice, paprika, garlic and salt and pepper, brush half the mixture over chicken and bake in 375F oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the dish from oven and turn the chicken pieces over and brush with remaining mustard mix,,return to oven and add the peas and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • While the last stage of the chicken is cooking, cook the pasta according to pkg directions.. drain, remove chicken from oven and mix in the poppy seeds..pour over cooked pasta annd serve with a crusty garlic bun.

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup honey
½ cup prepared mustard
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon dried parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste, and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the honey, mustard, basil, paprika, and parsley. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of this mixture over the chicken, and brush to cover.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn chicken pieces over and brush with the remaining 1/2 of the honey mustard mixture. Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

This creamy chicken casserole topped with buttery crackers is a family favorite and easy dinner recipe.

5 c. chicken breasts (cooked and cubed)
1 c. sour cream
2 10.5 oz cans condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups crushed Ritz crackers (about 1 1/2 rolls of crackers)
1/2 c. melted butter
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp celery salt
1 tsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Boil raw chicken breasts for 20 minutes. Let chicken cool slightly and cut into one inch cubes. You can also use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken. Place cubed chicken in a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
  • In a bowl stir together the condensed soup and sour cream. Add the Worcestershire, celery salt, garlic, lemon juice, and pepper to the soup and sour cream mixture. Pour over the chicken.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together the crushed crackers, poppy seeds and melted butter. Sprinkle over the chicken and sauce.
  • Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top of the casserole is browned and the sauce is bubbly. Serve plain or over rice.

3 lbs chicken pieces (breasts, thighs and drumsticks)
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1/3 cup brown mustard
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Rinse chicken; pat dry.
  • Skin chicken, if desired.
  • Place chicken in a lightly greased shallow baking pan.
  • Bake in 425°F oven for 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, stir together mustard, soy sauce, and honey in a small bowl.
  • Turn chicken pieces over and brush mixture generously over chicken pieces.

1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons celery salt
1 teaspoon paprika
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoons poppy seeds (or more)

Steps:

  • Combine sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, paprika, garlic, salt and pepper in a container suitable for marinating.
  • Add chicken breasts and coat thoroughly.
  • Marinate in refrigerator overnight.
  • Remove the coated chicken from marinade and roll in bracker crumbs.
  • Arrange in a single layer in a 9"x13" casserole dish.
  • Melt butter and pour half over the chicken.
  • Bake uncovered at 350F (175C) for 45 minutes.
  • Spoon the remaining butter and the poppy seeds over the chicken.
  • Bake an additional 15 minutes.
