M&M MAGIC BARS

M&M Magic Bars image

This quick and easy bake sale classic goes over the top for the holidays -- we've loaded the bars with your favorite Christmas candies.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 2h5m

Yield 24 bars

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted, plus more for buttering the dish
14 chocolate graham crackers
One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
One 10-ounce bag mint chocolate chips
1 cup cocktail peanuts, coarsely chopped
2 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 cup red and green candy-coated chocolates, such as M&M's
1/2 cup coarsely chopped candy canes
1/4 cup red and green sprinkles

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang on both sides. Butter the foil.
  • Pulse the graham crackers into fine crumbs in a food processor. Add the melted butter and pulse to combine (the mixture should hold together when squeezed). Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it into the bottom in an even layer, using the bottom of a measuring cup to help. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the crumbs. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, peanuts, marshmallows, M&M's, candy canes and sprinkles over the condensed milk.
  • Bake until the sides are golden brown and begin to pull away from the baking dish, 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool completely, about 1 hour. Using the foil liner as handles, lift the bars out of the baking dish; remove the foil. Cut into 24 bars.

THE BEST M&M COOKIES

The Best M&M Cookies image

We took our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and increased the brown sugar to make these cookies extra moist and chewy. Then we super-sized them -- the better to get in more of our favorite candy-coated chocolates. Save some extra candy for topping each cookie before baking. The result, cookies that look just as good as they taste!

Time 2h20m

Yield about 24 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (see Cook's Note)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 1/2 sticks (1 1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups candy-coated chocolates, such as M&M's

Steps:

  • Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl.
  • Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a bowl with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth, then beat in the vanilla. Reduce the mixer speed to low. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Reserve 1/4 cup of the chocolates, then stir in the remaining 1 3/4 cups of chocolates by hand. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dough and refrigerate until chilled through, about 1 hour.
  • Arrange the racks in the upper and lower third of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Roll the dough into 24 balls, each about 3 tablespoons (alternatively, use a #20 large cookie scoop). Place 6 dough balls on each of the prepared baking sheets; stud the top of each dough ball with some of the reserved chocolates. Bake 2 trays at a time until the cookies are golden around the edges but still soft in the middle, rotating the trays halfway through, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool 10 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining dough and chocolates.

MAMMO-GRAHAMS RECIPE - (4.2/5)

Mammo-Grahams Recipe - (4.2/5) image

Provided by msippigrl

Number Of Ingredients 4

Chocolate graham crackers, split in two
1 roll marzipan, from your grocery store
White frosting
Pink frosting fel

Steps:

  • The middle of the Mammo-Graham is Marzipan, which you can cut into slices. You should be able to get approximately 13 slices from a roll. Heat the pieces for about ten seconds in the microwave to make them pliable. Mold the Marzipan so that it is flat where the cookies will sit with a rounded bulge coming out. Use white frosting as paste to keep the graham crackers stuck to the Marzipan. Use the pink frosting to make the nipples.

This is not my original recipe, though I wish I were that clever. I thought this was hilarious and very appropriate for October's Breast Cancer Awareness month. Great for "adult" parties!

Number Of Ingredients 4

chocolate graham crackers, split in half
1 roll marzipan (in baking section)

  • 1. The middle is marzipan. Use one roll cut into 13 pieces and then warm in the microwave for about 10 seconds.
  • 2. Roll each section into a ball, and then squish while molding it until you have a flat section for between the graham crackers and a bulging section that sticks out.
  • 3. "Glue" the marzipan to the graham crackers with some frosting and then use Pink Frosting gel for the nipple.
  • 4. Oh and don't forget the sign, that's *the* most important part of this recipe.
