1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup fresh mint leaves, bruised
1 cup lemon juice
2 cups grape juice
1 (12 ounce) bottle ginger ale

Steps:

  • Combine water and sugar and heat until sugar has dissolved, stirring, about 5 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly, and then pour over mint leaves.
  • Add lemon juice, cover and steep for 1 hour.
  • Strain, discarding solids, then add grape juice.
  • Chill well.
  • Just before serving, add chilled ginger ale to mint mixture.
  • Garnish with additional mint leaves and lemon slices (if desired) and serve over ice.

3 ounces grapefruit juice, plus 1 slice grapefruit, for garnish
2 ounces gin
4 ounces tonic

Steps:

  • Add 1 sprig of mint to a shaker and muddle. Add the grapefruit juice, gin and some ice and shake until well blended. Strain over a glass with ice, add the tonic and mix. Garnish with the remaining mint sprig and a grapefruit slice.

1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 ounce agave syrup
5 large seedless green grapes
2 sprigs fresh mint, plus more for garnish (optional)
2 ounces vodka
Ice cubes for serving

Steps:

  • Add lemon juice, agave, grapes and mint springs to a cocktail shaker. Muddle everything together with a muddler or the base of a wooden spoon until the grapes have released their liquid and the mint is fragrant, about 10 seconds. Add in the vodka and fill the shaker with ice. Place the top on and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Fill an 8- to 12-ounce glass with ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with mint, if using, and serve.

4 cups water
1 cup sugar
2 cups red grape juice, chilled
1/3 cup lemon juice, chilled
1/3 cup orange juice, chilled

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, heat water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Cool. Pour into a large pitcher or punch bowl; stir in the juices. Serve in chilled glasses.
