5 bacon strips
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup shredded carrots
1 medium green pepper, chopped
3/4 cup crushed butter-flavored crackers
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 medium red onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until partially cooked but not crisp. Drain on paper towels; set aside., Combine the egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, carrots, green pepper, crackers, 1/2 cup cheese, onion and seasonings in a large bowl. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well., Shape into five loaves. Arrange around the edge of a microwave-safe deep-dish pie plate; top each with a strip of bacon., Cover and microwave on high for 8-10 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and a thermometer reads 160°. Spread ketchup over tops and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Let stand for 5 minutes.

1 large egg, beaten
1 cup soft bread cubes
1/4 cup whole milk
1-1/2 teaspoons onion salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Dash pepper
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
6 sticks (2-1/2 inches x 1/2 inch each) cheddar or mozzarella cheese
SAUCE:
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine first six ingredients. Mix in beef. Divide into six portions. Shape each portion around a cheese stick and form into a loaf. Set aside. , In a large skillet, combine all sauce ingredients. Add loaves and spoon sauce over each. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer; cook until a thermometer reads 160°, about 20 minutes.

8 ounces lean ground pork
8 ounces lean ground turkey
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
4 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh oregano, plus more for garnish, optional
2 large egg whites
1 medium red onion, grated (about 1/3 cup)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • Gently combine the pork and turkey by hand in a large bowl. Stir together the oats, 2 tablespoons of the ketchup, 1/2 tablespoon of the mustard, the soy sauce, oregano, egg whites, onions, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in a small bowl until combined. 1 cup cheddar cheese
1 egg
1/2 cup quick oats
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup milk

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat egg and milk together.

1/4 cup Progresso™ plain bread crumbs
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
4 slices center-cut bacon (about 3 1/2 oz), cut crosswise in half

Steps:

  • Heat gas or charcoal grill for indirect cooking as directed by manufacturer.
  • Meanwhile, in large bowl, mix all ingredients except bacon. On work surface, pat mixture into 7-inch square. Cut into 4 (3 1/2-inch) squares. Top each square with 2 half-slices bacon; attach with toothpicks.
  • Carefully spray grill rack with cooking spray. Place patties on unheated side of two-burner gas grill or over drip pan on charcoal grill (medium heat). (If using one-burner gas grill, cook over low heat.) Cover grill; cook 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly pink in center.
