MIGHTY HERO SANDWICH
My friend Valerie is a gracious hostess. Of all the dishes she's shared over the years, this hero sandwich stands out. It's easy and colorful, and the marinated veggies give it all kinds of oomph. -Kelley Boyce, Tulsa, Oklahoma

MIGHTY MORNING SANDWICH
Morning rush hour fix: For a low-cal breakfast on the run, it's hard to top Weight Watchers SmartOnes (210 calories, 5 grams fat). How did this supermarket standby beat _Self_'s own recipe? Not everything in one lowfat egg patty comes from the henhouse. It also has cornstarch, xanthan gum, and artificial flavoring. Our homemade recipe uses 100 percent egg, which is naturally higher in fat.
