I love marshmallow so I thought to create a marshmallow cake. I tried and tried 4 times, and the 4th one was the perfect one so I decided to post it up to y'all!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup marshmallow creme
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup oil
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup cake flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup marshmallows (preferred mini)

Steps:

  • Beat egg yolks and sugar till fluffy and pale in color.
  • Then mix in the oil and milk.
  • Mix flour, baking powder and salt, in a measuring cup.
  • Fold marshmallow fluff into the egg yolk mixture.
  • Sift in the flour and fold it in, a few lumps are okay.
  • Then pour the mixture into a 8 by 8" pan.
  • Sprinkle on the marshmallows and tap the pan to get our the air bubbles.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Then let it cool upside down so that the moisture stays inches.
  • Dust in powdered sugar if desired.
  • DIG IN!

When Mom wanted to treat us to something special, she made this awesome dessert. We could never resist the tender chocolate cake, the fluffy marshmallow layer or the fudge topping. It's very difficult to stop at one piece.

1/2 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (10 ounces) miniature marshmallows
GLAZE:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons 2% milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • In a microwave, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, applesauce and vanilla. Stir in chocolate mixture. Gradually add dry ingredients; mix well. , Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 20-30 minutes., Set aside 1/2 cup marshmallows for glaze. Sprinkle remaining marshmallows over cake. Return to oven until marshmallows are softened, about 2 minutes. , In a small saucepan, combine sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil; boil 1-1/2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips and reserved marshmallows until melted. Quickly drizzle over cake (glaze will harden as it cools).
