This recipe makes 12 cups and has no sodium, unless you opt to add it. This mix makes it possible to still fix those dishes which my husband loves.

10 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup featherweight baking powder (no sodium)
1/4 cup Splenda sugar substitute or 1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon salt substitute
2 cups Butter Flavor Crisco

Steps:

  • Mix together dry ingredients.
  • Cut in shortening until mix resembles cormeal.
  • Stores up to 6 weeks at room temperature, or FREEZE for a much longer time.

Make your own Bisquick Mix image

Cut out the recipes on the back of your bisquick box and save them. Because you won't need to be buying the bisquick mix any more. You can just make your own and save some money!

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 cup(s) all purpose flour
1/4 cup(s) baking powder
1 1/4 cup(s) vegetable shortening
1 tablespoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • First mix all of the dry ingredients together and make sure it is mixed well. Then add your shortening and you can add this to your food processor if you would like or use a pastry blender (or how ever you would like to do it) cut in the shortening til it's the consistency of cornmeal.
  • Put into an air tight container or a ziploc bag and put in your pantry. This will stay good for 1 year. Use your recipes on the back of your old bisquick box and enjoy the savings!!!
