Everyone thinks I've gone to a lot of trouble when making this refreshing summer drink, but it's so easy! I also like to make my own pretty ice cubes by adding 1/2 cup lemon juice and a mint sprig to 4 cups water.-Bonnie Hawkins, Elkhorn, Wisconsin

3 cups white grape juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 bottle (1 liter) club soda, chilled
Ice cubes
Assorted fresh fruit, optional

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine the grape juice, sugar and lemon juice; stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until chilled. , Just before serving, stir in club soda. Serve over ice. Garnish with fruit if desired.

4 cups cold white grape juice
1 liter club soda, chilled
1 medium orange, halved and sliced
1/2 cup sliced strawberries

1 sliced into rounds lemon
1 sliced into rounds lime
3 cups unsweetened white grape juice
½ cup lemon juice
2 cups lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • In a large ring-shaped plastic container, arrange lemon and lime slices in a decorative pattern along the bottom.
  • Fill with just enough water to cover and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  • Dip ice ring mold in warm water to loosen. Remove the ice ring and place into a large punch bowl.
  • Pour in the grape juice, lemon juice, and lemon-lime soda. Stir gently and serve.
