1/2 pint blackberries
1/2 pint raspberries
1 bottle, 750 ml, dry red Italian table wine
1 quart sparkling water or seltzer, chilled

Steps:

  • Fill the bottom of large wine glasses with a mixture of the berries. Pour wine in to cover and let stand 10 minutes. Top glasses with seltzer when you are ready to serve.

3/4 glass super-chilled white wine (very, very cold!)
1/4 glass super-chilled club soda (again: very, very cold!)
Slice of lime

Steps:

  • Fill a wine glass halfway with the super-chilled wine ... the glass should frost ... that's when you know your wine's cool enough.
  • Splash in the club soda until the glass is three-quarters full. (Note: You can also use ginger ale or lemon lime soda!)
  • Then take a slice of lime and put it on the rim of the glass.

2 (1/4-inch) slices lime
Ice cubes
4 ounces Pinot Grigio or other white wine
2 ounces lemon lime flavored seltzer water

Steps:

  • In a large stem glass arrange slices of lemon and lime between ice cubes to fill the glass. Pour 4 ounces of white wine, 1/2 cup, and 2 ounces of sparkling lemon lime seltzer water, 1/4 cup, down over fruit and ice. Stir with cocktail stir-stick or straw and serve.

ROSEMARY LEMON SPRITZER

1 lemon
1/2 cup sugar
5 sprigs fresh rosemary, plus more for garnish
1 liter bottle sparkling water
4 ounces ouzo or gin (optional)

Steps:

  • Zest the lemon. Cut 4 slices out of the middle of the lemon and reserve for garnish. Squeeze out the juice and set aside.
  • In a small pan over medium-high heat, stir together the sugar with 1/2 cup water until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, remove from the heat, and add the rosemary sprigs and lemon zest. Let cool to room temperature, strain into a clean jar, and refrigerate until ready to use, or up to 2 weeks.
  • Fill 4 glasses with ice. Fill each glass three-quarters of the way up with sparkling water. Add splash of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of the flavored syrup. Top with ouzo or gin, if using. Garnish with a lemon slice and a small sprig of rosemary.
