1-1/2 pounds bulk Italian sausage
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans (8-3/4 ounces each) whole kernel corn, drained
2 cans (2-1/4 ounces each) sliced ripe olives, drained
1 package (16 ounces) wide noodles, cooked and drained
8 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into strips

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage, beef, onion and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add corn and olives. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in noodles. , Pour into two greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Top with cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.

This recipe has been one of our family favorites for years. I love its versatility; if you have unexpected guests, just add more noodles. The original recipe actually called for 1 can of tomato soup, 1/2 soup can of water, and 1/2 tsp. oregano instead of the spaghetti sauce. I substituted once when I realized I didn't have soup...

1 lb ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 medium clove of garlic, minced
1 jar(s) canned spaghetti sauce
2 c cooked wide noodles
1 generous pinch of dried basil (optional)
1 c shredded cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic, stirring frequently. Drain and place in a 1 1/2-qt casserole dish.
  • 2. Add the basil and spaghetti sauce, and mix thoroughly. (You can add as much or as little of the sauce as you like to suit your own taste.)
  • 3. Place the shredded cheese around edge. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 jar (26 ounces) tomato pasta sauce (any variety)
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1 1/2 cups milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Spray rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches, with cooking spray. Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in pasta sauce.
  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese and 1/4 teaspoon of the Italian seasoning in small bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Spoon half of the beef mixture (about 2 cups) into baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture evenly onto beef mixture. Spoon remaining beef mixture over cream cheese mixture.
  • Stir 1 cup of the Parmesan cheese, the Bisquick mix and milk in medium bowl until blended. Pour over beef mixture.
  • Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes or until light golden brown. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Bake 5 minutes longer. Let stand at least 10 minutes before cutting.

1/2 sweet onion, diced
14 1/2 oz hunt's rosemary & oregano diced tomatoes, do not drain
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tsp original mrs. dash
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 c shredded mozzarella cheese, low-fat
1 c shredded colby jack cheese
1 Tbsp tomato basil garlic mrs. dash

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Lightly coat a 13x9 baking dish.
  • 2. Prepare noodles as per package directions. Drain. Saute onions for 3-4 in olive oil until tender-crisp.
  • 3. Cook beef in about 1/4 c. water and the Worcestershire sauce; stir in original Mrs. Dash.
  • 4. In a large bowl, stir together cooked beef, onion, egg noodles and canned tomatoes. Pour into prepared casserole dish. Cover with cheeses and sprinkle with the tomato basil garlic Mrs. Dash. Cook in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve.

1 lb lean ground beef

1 minced garlic clove
15 ounces tomato sauce

4 sprigs cilantro
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 green sweet pepper, cut into strips
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 cup dry red wine

  • In a 1 1/2 quart microwave-safe casserole crumble beef. Add celery, onion, and garlic.

4 cups 1% cottage cheese
