RUSTIC SLOW COOKER COUNTRY-STYLE PORK RIBS RECIPE
Rustic country-style pork ribs are easy to prepare and will reward you will melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and rich flavors.

- Trim excess fat from the ribs if necessary. Season with a little bit of salt and pepper and set aside.
- Heat cooking oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add half of the ribs and sear for 4 minutes. Flip and continue searing for another 4 minutes, or until nicely browned. Transfer the browned ribs to the slow cooker and continue browning the other half of the ribs. Transfer to the slow cooker.
- Add the onions to the same the skillet. There should be plenty of oil and fat left in the pan, but if not, add another tablespoon of oil. Saute until deep golden brown, constantly stirring, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the garlic and continue cooking for another 30 seconds.
- Add the water, salt, pepper and the rest of the seasonings. Bring to a simmer. Taste and adjust for salt. The liquid should be salted just right.
- Pour the contents of the pan into the slow cooker over the ribs. Stir to distribute the ingredients evenly.
- Set the slow cooker to low and cook for about 4-5 hours or until the pork ribs are fork-tender. You can also cook the meat on high for 2-3 hours.
- Once the meat is tender, check for salt and seasonings again and adjust if needed.
- If you want the liquid thickened, now is the time to do it. Carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and set aside. Dissolve three tablespoons of cornstarch in three tablespoons of cold water. Add the cornstarch to the slow cooker and stir well. Let simmer for about 20 minutes until desired thickness is achieved. If needed, add more cornstarch.
- Return the ribs to the slow cooker and keep on 'warm' until ready to serve.
- Serve with with rice, mashed potatoes, potato pancakes, pasta or other favorite side dish.

JACK DANIELS COUNTRY STYLE CROCKPOT RIBS
This is a recipe I came up with. I used bottled Jack Daniels barbeque sauce, I added garlic onion, vinegar, and apple jam to complete the sauce. These are sweet and tangy ribs. They are tender and delicious! I hope you all enjoy!

- 1. Rinse and pat dry the ribs. Salt-and-pepper the ribs as you like.
- 2. In a large bowl. Mix the first 9 ingredients together well.
- 3. Place salt and peppered ribs into mixture. It's OK if they are not fully covered. After two hours remove lid and toss ribs around her sauce.
- 4. Cook ribs on high heat setting of crockpot for 5 hours or until tender.
- 5. Remove ribs from crockpot. And cover tightly with foil. Pour sauce from crockpot into a large pan. Skim as much fat off of the top with a large spoon as you can. Discard fat.
- 6. Bring sauce to a boil . Boil sauce boil for about 5-10 minutes. When it boils down. It will start to thicken a little bit.
- 7. Mix cornstarch and water together. Stir into sauce. Continue stirring until it thickens.
- 8. At this point you can pour the sauce Over the ribs and serve. (You may also brush ribs with sauce. Place ribs on a foil lined sheet pan. Place in oven under the broiler until ribs are browned and sticky. Remove from sheet pan and serve.)
JACK DANIEL RIBS
Iv had this recipe for some time now. So a request for ribs last night, thought these would be perfect. Made these in my crockpot, so easy and so good.

- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet or heavy bottom pan. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper and sear, on all sides, until golden. Remove the ribs from the pan and place them in the Crock Pot.
- To a medium-size bowl, add ketchup, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, chili powder, onion powder dried thyme, dried parsley, and dried mustard. Whisk together and pour over the ribs. Place the lid on the Crock Pot and cook on HIGH for 6-7 hours or LOW for 8 hours until the ribs are done.
- Remove the ribs to a serving platter, and spoon over the sauce from the bottom of the Crock Pot. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.
