Impossible Quiche (Crustless Ham and Cheese Quiche) image

This irresistible golden brown impossible quiche can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This light and delicious crustless ham and cheese quiche will be loved by the whole family. Great for using up leftover ham after the holidays!

1 1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
100g / 3.5 oz Ham, diced
1 Brown Onion, diced
1/3 cup Self-Raising Flour (SEE NOTE 1)
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups Milk
4 eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 200C / 390F and grease a pie tray (9" x 2" / 22.5cm x 3.1cm).
  • Heat oil in a small frying pan and cook the onion until translucent.
  • Combine 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, ham, onion, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl, then pour into a pie dish.
  • Whisk eggs and milk together in a seperate bowl, then pour over the ingredients in the pie dish. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Serve warm or cold.

For the second time ONLY, I have found a recipe that includes Miracle Whip Salad Dressing in it....that I LOVE! The other is recipe#162901. The prep is quick and easy also. This recipe came to me after I commented on another site that I was something LESS than a fan of this "miracle" stuff.

1 cup mushroom, sliced
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup broccoli, chopped
5 eggs
1/3 cup Miracle Whip
1 1/3 cups milk
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie shells (frozen works)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Place vegetables in skillet sprayed with cooking spray and cook on medium heat 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
  • Beat eggs, dressing and milk in medium bowl with whisk until well blended. Stir in vegetable mixture and cheese; pour into pie shell.
  • Place pie shell on baking sheet and bake 40-45 minutes or until center is set and quiche is golden brown.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into slices to serve.

4 eggs
salt and pepper
1 onion, finely chopped
3 slices bacon, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups milk
1 -2 cup cheese, grated
1/2 cup self raising flour

Steps:

  • Combine milk, eggs salt and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl place flour, bacon, cheese and onion.
  • Stir and toss until all ingredients are coated in flour.
  • Pour egg/milk mixture into the dry ingredients bowl.
  • Stir until all combined.
  • Pour into a greased quiche plate and back in the oven on 200°C (~375°F) for 45 minutes,.
  • turning plate around once towards the end of cooking time to allow to brown evenly.
  • My Variation - use ham instead of bacon plus add a few cups of steamed veggies.
  • Also you could substitute half of the milk with cream.

1 frozen pie crust (9 inch), thawed
1/4 cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Cook mushrooms and onions in large nonstick skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium-high heat 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Remove from heat; stir in spinach.
  • Whisk eggs, milk and dressing in medium bowl until blended. Add spinach mixture and cheese; mix well. Pour into crust; sprinkle with bacon.
  • Bake 50 min. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
