ITALIAN DRESSING SEASONING DRY MIX

Italian Dressing Seasoning Dry Mix image

This is a delicious all-purpose dry seasoning that is good in spaghetti sauce, chicken and dumplings, in pasta salads, or sprinkled on fresh, ripe sliced tomatoes. It also makes a good Italian Salad Dressing for salads or marinade. Omit salt if you like.

Copycat Dry Italian Seasoning and Dressing Mix image

This is a fabulous seasoning and herb mixture that can be mixed with 2/3 cup of oil and 1/4 cup cider or red wine vinegar and 2 tablespoons of water for a tasty salad dressing. I use it more often than not, for a seasoning on pork chops, roasts, chicken and vegetables. Yesterday I used it as a brine seasoning when preparing pounded out boneless chicken breasts, it was very successful. NOTE: I use 2-1g packages of Splenda instead of sugar, your choice. You will want to double up on the recipe once you have used it a couple of times!

ITALIAN DRESSING DRY MIX

Italian Dressing Dry Mix image

This is my experimentation of "Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix" that suites my taste! I tried several on the web but to me they were missing something? I think it was the lemon pepper everyone was using? I bought citric acid which is used in Good Seasons...you can find in the canning section along with dry pectin(it is used in place of xanthum gum) which is used as a thickening agent but not necessary ! I hope everyone likes this version?
