This is one of those back of the box recipes I wrote down so long ago I don't remember when it was. I haven't made it for awhile, but did several time in those college/young adult times.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2/3 cup onion, chopped
1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup Bisquick
1 jar pizza sauce
1 package sliced pepperoni
1/3 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1 -1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425F.
  • Grease pie pan and sprinkle 2/3 cup onion and 1/3 cup parmesan in plate.
  • Beat eggs, milk and bisquick until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high or 1 minute with hand blender.
  • Pour into plate.
  • Bake 20 minutes.
  • Spread sauce over top.
  • Layer remaining ingredients on sauce.
  • Bake until cheese is light brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Cool 5 minutes and serve.

I was driving home from work one day thinking what to make for dinner and didn't want the regular cheeseburger pie so i started thinking outside the box and came up with this yummy variation of an oldie but goodie!!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb ground chicken
1/2 sweet onion
3 Tbsp minced onion
8 oz pizza sauce
1 c mozzarella cheese
2 eggs
1/2 c bisquick mix
1 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees chop onion and saute with garlic and 2 tbsp EVOO
  • 2. When Onions are translucent add in ground chicken and cook until done. Stir in pizza sauce, and let meat mixture cool.
  • 3. Pour cooled meat mixture into a pie pan, and top with mozzarella cheese.
  • 4. Mix together milk, eggs, and bisquick until well combined, and pour over meat and cheese.
  • 5. Put in oven and bake till golden brown, approximately 25 minutes. Serve and enjoy!!!
  • 6. obviously, you can add any pizza ingredients you like, this is just a basic, jumping off point!!
