This tastes just like apple pie! Great in the autumn around a campfire or on a hay-ride. Put it in canning jars with rings and lids for that down-home country appeal.

1 gallon apple cider
1 gallon apple juice
6 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
1 ½ cups white sugar, or to taste
1 (1 liter) bottle 190 proof grain alcohol (such as Everclear™)

Steps:

  • Place the apple cider, apple juice, cinnamon sticks, and sugar into a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat, and discard the cinnamon sticks. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then stir in the grain alcohol. Pour into quart-size canning jars, seal with the lids and rings, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

This tastes just like apple pie. I was amazed to discover it even has a hint of crust flavor to it also! You can add more everclear or vodka if you like to make it stronger, but I like it just the way it is. I got the recipe from a new friend I made while on vacation recently. Make sure you use glass bottles. The drink ferments weird and seems to degrade plastic ones! The serving size and yield are approximate.

1 gallon apple juice
1/2 gallon apple cider
6 cinnamon sticks
3 cups sugar
1/2 liter Everclear alcohol or 1/2 liter vodka

Steps:

  • Combine the first four ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Set aside and let cool completely (about 6 hours).
  • Remove cinnamon sticks and add everclear or vodka.
  • Stir to mix well and store in GLASS bottles keep cool and enjoy!

1 1/4 cups brown sugar
4 cinnamon sticks
1/2 liter r9o Proof Grain Alcohol, Everclear or equivalent.
Makes 4 1/2 quarts

  • To get started, you need a large boiling pot. Add into this pot the juice, apple cider, the white and brown sugar, and the whole fresh cinnamon sticks. Bring these contents to a boil, then remove the pot from the stove and let it cool down to room temperature. Once at room temperature, gradually stir in the 9o proof grain alcohol. 1 cup brown sugar
1 pint whiskey
1 pint spiced rum

  • In a large pot, combine the apple juice, ginger ale and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
