2 ounces reposado tequila, such as Don Julio
1 ounce agave nectar
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, plus 1 lime wedge, for garnish
6 ounces Mexican beer, such as Corona or Negra Modelo

Steps:

  • Add the tequila, agave and lime juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Add the beer, then strain into a goblet filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

Steps:

  • Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the bread until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Spread the butter over the toasts. Arrange the sliced strawberries over the toasts. Sprinkle the strawberries with the sugar. Broil until the sugar begins to caramelize, about 2 minutes.

2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
24 ounces light beer
1 1/2 cups tequila
1 lime, cut into 6 slices

Steps:

  • Place 1 tablespoon limeade concentrate in a shallow bowl. Place salt in a second shallow bowl. In a third bowl, combine remaining limeade concentrate, beer and tequila. Rim 6 glasses with reserved limeade and salt. Divide beer mixture evenly among glasses; garnish each with a lime slice.

I recently saw the new version of the STRAW-BER-RITA in the liquor store. I excitedly texted my sister-in-law, with whom I developed the perfect beerita recipe last summer (at least in our opinion). I knew she'd be excited to hear about them. She beat me to it. She had not only seen them and tasted them, she'd discovered a much better homemade strawberry beerita recipe with me, and I tweaked it ever-so-slightly. This is what we came up with:

2 (12 ounce) bottles beer (any kind)
12 ounces tequila (just fill the empty limeade container to measure)
1 (12 ounce) can Sprite
1 (1 lb) bag frozen strawberries
1 -2 cup crushed ice

  • Combine everything in a blender and pulse until slushy.
