SEMI-HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE FUNNEL CAKE

Steps:
- Heat about 1 inch of oil in a large skillet to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
- Combine baking mix, sugar, cocoa sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; add chocolate milk, eggs, and cream and stir until batter is smooth. Pour batter into a funnel, placing your finger on the hole to keep batter from dripping.
- Swirl batter into the hot oil; cook until golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes per side. Transfer funnel cakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

HOMEMADE FUNNEL CAKE
Texas Rodeo is coming to town but I can't wait two weeks to get my hands on one of my favorite desserts so I make my own. The funnel cakes are to die for at the carnivals!

- In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients and the cinnamon. Mix well. Add milk and egg to dry mix. Stir until batter is smooth.
- Using a deep fry thermometer to monitor the oil's temperature,heat oil to 350 degrees. When oil is heated, start pouring mix around in a circle going around 4-5 times, then zig,zig across center to fill in holes. When funnel cakes starts to brown, use tongs to flip over and brown other side. Browning should take 30-40 seconds. Lift funnel cake out of oil with tongs and let excess oil drip into pan and transfer to plate. sprinkle with powdered sugar or garnish with your favorite topping. Enjoy!
