HOMEMADE FINGER PAINTS FOR CHILDREN

Homemade Finger Paints for Children image

Children always have great fun finger painting. This paint is eady to make and very economical. Use the food colouring to achieve the desired colour- recipe is just a guide as it really depends on the colours that you are after. This recipe was from television "Burke's Backyard" about 10 years ago. Any soap flakes can be used to make this paint. Add Eucalyptus oil or dettol (zaar soesn't recognise dettol as an ingredient). Always in Australia, when times were tough, the good old Aussie spirit would always find a way! Making your childrens fingerpaints is by far cheaper than purchasing paints.

HOMEMADE FINGER PAINT

Homemade Finger Paint image

With this quick and easy finger paint your child can finger paint for just pennies. It's perfect for using on paper or in the bathtub. The dish soap makes this finger paint wash out of anything my girls have painted with it. Keeps for at least a week in airtight containers. A fun painting option is to cover a tray or cookie sheet with waxed paper and have your child spoon paint over it in different colors. Cover with another sheet of waxed paper. Your child can press down on the colors and watch them blend and move.
