TOFFEE CARAMEL DIP

2 tablespoons butter, cubed
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1-1/2 teaspoons water
2 tablespoons English toffee bits or almond brickle chips
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sliced apples

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, milk, corn syrup and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from the heat. Stir in toffee bits and vanilla. Serve with apples.

cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. heavy cream
3 Heath bars, chopped
1/4 c. caramel sauce
Pretzels, for serving
apple slices, for serving

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugars and vanilla together until smooth and fluffy. Gradually, beat in heavy cream, adding about 1/2 cup of cream at a time. Beat on high until light and fluffy. Fold in about two-thirds of Heath Bars. Transfer to a serving bowl and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • When ready to serve, top the dip with the remaining chopped Heath bars. Drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve with preztels and apples for dipping.

1 jar caramel ice cream topping
11 oz. heath bars, broken in to pieces
6 granny smith apples

  • 1. Mix together the cream cheese and brown sugar until well blended. 2. Spread mixture out thinly on serving platter or baking dish. 3. Spread caramel ice cream topping over the cream cheese layer. 4. Sprinkle toffee bits all over the caramel topping. Serve along side sliced granny smith apples

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package almond brickle chips (7-1/2 ounces) or English toffee bits (10 ounces)
3 medium tart apples, cut into chunks

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugars and vanilla. Fold in brickle chips. Serve with apples. Refrigerate any leftovers.

1/2 cup granulated sugar

Steps:

  • Make the caramel crunch: Line a rimmed baking sheet with a nonstick baking mat; set aside. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons water; mixture should look like wet sand. Place saucepan over medium-high heat and cook until sugar is dark amber in color. Immediately pour caramel onto prepared baking sheet; let cool completely.
  • Crack cooled caramel into large pieces and place in a resealable plastic bag. Crush into tiny pieces using a rolling pin; you should have a scant 1/2 cup of caramel crunch.
