BANANA-HAZELNUT PAIN PERDU DUET

- On each of 4 bread slices, spread cream cheese and Nutella to within 1/2 in. of edges. Top with banana slices, brown sugar and remaining bread. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, liqueur, cinnamon and vanilla., In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, heat butter over medium-low heat. Dip both sides of sandwiches in egg mixture, allowing each side to soak 30 seconds. Place sandwiches in skillet; toast until golden brown, 4-5 minutes on each side. If desired, serve with toppings.

Steps:
- Whipped Hazelnut Spread: With electric mixer, or by hand, whisk heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add hazelnut spread and whip for an additional minute or until well combined and smooth.
- Caramelized Bananas: Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in brown sugar and cinnamon and stir until dissolved. Once mixture starts to bubble, add bananas. Cook until bananas are caramelized and slightly softened, 5 to 10 minutes.
- Toast: In cast-iron pan or griddle over medium heat, add bacon fat and cook toast on both sides until browned and toasted. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
- To toasted bread, add whipped hazelnut spread, caramelized bananas, and bacon. Garnish with chopped hazelnuts and powdered sugar.

- Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread on 1 side of each slice of bread. Arrange banana slices over chocolate-hazelnut spread on 2 of the slices. Place remaining slices atop bananas to form 2 sandwiches.
- Whisk chocolate milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Dip sandwiches in milk mixture and turn as necessary to coat completely.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches in hot butter until both sides are golden brown and banana and chocolate spread have softened, 4 to 6 minutes per side.
