4 cups uncooked spiral pasta
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups 2% milk
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups cubed cooked turkey
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta according to package directions., Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, saute garlic in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt, mustard, thyme and pepper. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted. Drain pasta; place in a large bowl. Toss with turkey, vegetables and cheese sauce. , Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake, uncovered, 35-40 minutes or until heated through.,

Honest to goodness! You can have this comforting meal for six on the table with very little effort.

2 cups cubed cooked turkey or chicken
2 cups frozen cut green beans, (from 1-lb bag)
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 3/4 cups water
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups plain mashed potato mix (dry)
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
1/2 can (2.8 oz) french fried onions (1/2 cup)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In 2-quart saucepan, mix turkey, green beans, soup and 1/3 cup of the milk. Cook over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot.
  • Make mashed potatoes in microwave as directed on box using water, remaining 2/3 cup milk, butter, salt and mashed potato mix.
  • Remove turkey mixture from heat. Stir in cheese until melted. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Top with mashed potatoes.
  • Bake uncovered 10 minutes. Sprinkle with onions; bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until mixture is bubbly and onions are warm.

This recipe is from a recipe exchange with my mom's group. I haven't tried it yet, but thought it was a great use of leftovers. Chicken or pork can be used in place of the turkey.

2 cups macaroni noodles
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cups celery, finely chopped
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
2 (10 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
2/3 cup milk
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2-2 cups turkey, cooked and chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups crushed plain potato chips

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain. Meanwhile, in a medium, saucepan melt butter over med-low heat. Add celery and onion, cook until tender. Blend in soup, milk and cheese. Cook until the cheese is melted. Combine cheese with macaroni, turkey, and salt. Spray 3 q casserole dish with non-stick spray. Transfer to baking dish and top with crushed potato chips. Bake 350 for 30 min or until hot and bubbly and the chips are toasted.
